CSTVCIC responds - Once again, the CSTVCIC is an independent non-profit ORC 1724 community improvement corporation with its jurisdiction including Sandy, Fairfield, and Warren Twps in Tuscarawas County, Pike and Sandy Twps in Stark Counties, and Rose Twp in Carroll County. The CSTVCIC may in the future by agreement be the economic development agent of the political subdivisions within its jurisdiction. The CSTVCIC evolved from the Mineral City Village Council Railroad Committee and includes a number of former committee members but is not affiliated with the Committee nor the Village. The CSTVCIC is not and did not reactivate the defunct Mineral City CIC. The former Mineral City CIC was dissolved and cannot be reinstated as originally incorporated since the two-year reinstatement period has passed (ORC 1724.06).
